Thirteen fishermen detained by Malaysia for more than three months returned to South China's Hainan province yesterday, people.com.cn, People's Daily website, reported.

Malaysian authorities seized the fishermen when their boats were found in a traditional fishing area in waters around China's Nansha Islands on May 8.

The local court in Malaysia sentenced the fishermen to a three-month-long imprisonment for "illegal entry".
