Bus-truck collision kills six in NW China

URUMQI: Six people were killed and one was injured after a truck and a bus collided late Monday in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Wushi County government said Tuesday.

The accident occurred at 6:05 pm when a truck and a minibus collided head-on in Wushi county, Aksu Prefecture. Four of the seven people aboard the minibus died at the scene, and two others died on the way to hospital.

One person was seriously injured.

Wushi county is about 1,000 km from the regional capital, Urumqi. The Wushi county government has started an investigation into the accident.
