New rules to promote Party's internal democracy

It urges Party committees at different levels to protect the rights of Party deputies at the same levels, stressing that both of those who try to prevent the deputies from playing their due functions or take revenge against the deputies must be disciplined.

The new ordinance is the latest step forward taken by the Party leadership to develop the internal democracy as part of its efforts to democratize the whole nation, according to some observer.

In 1978, China launched its Reform and Opening-up Drive. This year, the Party will hold a series of programs to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the reformative campaign.
