A middle-aged man lost a wallet containing all his cash aboard a coach to Liaoyuan, Liaoning province, while he was chatting with a beautiful woman he had met on Monday.

Soon after boarding the coach, Zhang Chao was so attracted to the young woman next to him that he chatted her up and then let her rest her head on his shoulder as she cried over a tale of broken hearts and lost love.

After she got off, Zhang reached into his pocket for his wallet but found nothing but a sheet of paper with this message: "There's no such thing as a free lunch."

He called police for help.
