A farm-themed fashion show was a big hit in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, on Monday.

The models were farmers and they carried the implements of their trade, such as pickaxes and shoulder poles, when they did their catwalk runs.

The First Fashion Show of Farmers in Henan Province involved more than 50 groups. The preliminary heats of the fashion competition were in July and the semifinals were in August.

The final this week involved nine farmers' fashion groups and the oldest entrant was 66.
