BEIJING -- A senior official of Communist Party of China(CPC) has underlined the need of anti-corruption efforts among leading Party officials prior to upcoming 17th CPC National Congress.

He Yong, deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, made the remark at Saturday's discussion on studying a new book on anti-corruption among leading officials in the new period.

Since China adopted the policy of reform and opening-up, the Party has made enormous achievements in building a clean government and fighting against corruption, He said.

Discipline inspection officials should pay more attention to solving issues that closely link the interests of ordinary people and resolutely dealing with illegality to win people's trust, He said.

The book was jointly edited by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the party school of CPC Central Committee. It systematically expounds on the theory of corruption prevention.
