The Internet QQ chat room is challenging traditional dating agencies in Changsha, Hunan Province.

The city now has more than 500 QQ user groups with more than 20,000 members.

Most of the members are seeking mates via the Internet chat rooms.

The QQ user groups charge little for service in comparison with traditional dating agencies, that usually collect 100 (US$13) to 200 yuan (US$26) per introduction.

QQ members include local white-collar workers and students.
