| A mother, holding her child, stands in front of a collapsed
house in her village in Yunyang county, Chongqing municipality in
southwest China June 24, 2007. Cracks have developed on the mountains and
the village ground was sinking. The local government has organized the
evacuation of 271 villagers as a massive landslide is pending, threatening
the safety of their lives and property. The village, in the Three Gorges
Reservoir area, is prone to natural disasters as
