Cross-talk master Hou Yaowen dies at 59

Hou Yaowen, China's renowned cross-talk master, performs in Xi'an, captital city of northwest China's Shannxi Province in 2006. He died of sudden heart failure, on June 23, 2007, at the age of 59. According to Wang Yang, Hou's prentice, Hou, a householdly beloved cross-talker, was suddenly stricken by a severe heart attack at home, and the emergency medical staff tried their best to save him, but to no avail.
