A
plaque at Fort Xipaotai, one of the well-preserved relics of the Qing
Dynasty-era cannon battlement in Yingkou City of Northeast China's Liaoning
province. The relics, first constructed in 1882, were used as a military
fortress against Japanese invaders in Sino-Japanese War during 1894-1895. The
site has now become one of the key cultural relics under the state-level
protection.
