AIRWAYS: There are
7 civil airports in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Zhoushan, Yiwu, Taizhou and
Quzhou, with 185 domestic and international flight routes.

HIGHWAYS:
The total length of highways in Zhejiang is 46,935 km, among which 1,475 km are
expressways and 2,487 km are Class I roads. A ¡°4-hour road traffic circle¡± has
been established, connecting the capital city Hangzhou with all the other cities
in Zhejiang.
RAILWAYS: A railway transportation network, with the capital city¡ªHangzhou¡ªas
its center, has been formed in Zhejiang by intensive railway lines including
Shanghai-Hangzhou, Zhejiang-Jiangxi, Xiaoshan-Ningbo, Xuancheng
(Anhui)-Hangzhou, Jinhua-Wenzhou, and Jinhua-Qiandaohu (Chun¡¯an),
etc.

WATER TRANSPORTATION: With 9,893 km inland waterways, Zhejiang has
5,495 inland harbor berths and 958 seaport berths, among which 71 can berth 10
thousand tonnages and above. There are five major ports, namely Ningbo,
Zhoushan, Wenzhou, Taizhou and Jiaxing. The total handling capacity of seaports
reaches 310 million tons.

In 2005, the business
output of the posts and telecommunications reached RMB 83.5 billion, with an
increase of 24.8% than last year. That of the posts reached RMB 3.14 billion,
with an increase of 8.2%, and that of the telecommunications reached RMB 80.35
billion, with an increase of 25.6%. The urban and rural fixed telephone
switching system has a total capacity of 28.702 million sets. The urban and
rural fixed telephone subscribers reached 22.318 million. The urban and rural
mobile telephone subscribers reached 26.863 million, with the popularity of 59.0
sets per hundred capita. The registered Internet users, including Broad Band
Users, reached 6.89 million.
Energy sources
¡¡¡¡
As one of the provinces that
make better use of waterpower, firepower, wind power, tide and nuclear energy
and some other energy sources in China, Zhejiang has built some large-scale
thermal power plants, such as Beilun, Zhenhai, Taizhou, Wenzhou, Jiaxing,
Changxing etc, and a group of middle-sized hydropower stations, such as Xin¡¯an
River, Fuchun River, Wuxi River, Jinshui Beach etc. The construction of the
electric power has entered the stage of modern electric power industry
characterized mostly by ¡°big units, large power plants, great grids, super high
voltage and high automation¡±.
