Russian PM concludes visit to China

BEIJING -- Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov left here Friday evening, concluding a two-day official visit to China.

During his stay in Beijing, Fradkov met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and top legislator Wu Bangguo, respectively. Fradkov and Premier Wen Jiabao held the 11th regular meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries, and attended activities celebrating the closing ceremony of the "Year of Russia" in China.

The two sides summed up the outcome of the "Year of Russia", and outlined activities for the coming "Year of China" in Russia.

A series of activities including the National Exhibition on Russia and the Sino-Russian Investment Promotion Week were held during Fradkov's China visit.

More than 200 activities were held during the "Year of Russia", which help strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries and push forward the China-Russia strategic partnership.
