Chinese stocks close lower Thursday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 9.84 points, or 0.42 percent, to finish at 2,356.86.
The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.52 percent, or 50.61 points, to end at 9,622.83.
