Chinese stocks close higher

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbing 0.16 percent, or 3.55 points, to close at 2,173.56
The Shenzhen Component Index moved up 0.48 percent, or 41.59 points, to finish at 8,781.32.
