China stocks close down -- Oct 10

BEIJING -- China's stocks declined on Oct 10, the first trading day this month after a seven-day National Day Holiday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.61 percent, or 14.43 points, to close at 2,344.79 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 1.18 percent, or 121.59 points, to finish at 10,170.75.
