BEIJING - China's stocks fell nearly 1 percent on Friday following a more than 3 percent fall in the Wall Street on heightened concerns of a double-dip recession of the global economy.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed down 0.98 percent, or 25.11 points, to 2,534.36.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.99 percent, or 112.63 points, to finish at 11,301.53.
