ChiNext stock market down -- April 20

BEIJING - The ChiNext market was down Tuesday as only 17 of the 66 stocks at China's start-up board for small and medium-sized enterprises rose, and one stock was suspended from trading.

The board, which is based in Shenzhen and started trading on October 30, 2009, is tailored to the needs of enterprises engaged in independent innovation and other enterprises with great growth potential.
