Chinese shares further down on Monday

Chinese equities edged 0.13 percent lower Monday to 2,935.17 points, renewing the lowest level in the past three month since it ended at 2,939.40 points on the previous trading day.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 4.23 points, to close at at 2,935.17 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index added 0.25 percent, or 30.2 points, to close at 11,947.34 points.

Combined turnover shrank to 126.3 billion yuan ($18.49 billion), from 193.4 billion yuan billion yuan on the previous trading day.
