China's top judge Wednesday urged courts nationwide to provide strong judicial guarantee for the achievement of the economic goal next year.
"Efforts should be made to ensure the courts' work accord with the overall economic development situation," Supreme People's Court President Wang Shengjun said at a conference.
He asked the courts to safeguard people's interests and properly deal with cases concerning education, medical services, housing, consumption, employment, food and drug safety, land acquisition and house demolition, labor disputes and social securities.
He also called for continued harsh crackdown on crimes disturbing market order, corruption and gangland to guarantee the economic development.
