China starts anti-dumping probe into X-ray equipment from EU

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Friday that it had started anti-dumping investigation into X-ray security inspection facilities imported from the European Union (EU).

The probe will be due by Oct 23, 2010, and be extended to April 23, 2011 under special circumstances.

MOC said it received the probe application filed by the Nuctech Company Ltd, China's leading inspection equipment maker, on Aug 28, 2008.

The ministry said it decided to start the investigation after examination.
