Chinese shares fall after 7 days of rise

Chinese equities fell for the first time after seven days of rise and dropped 0.73 percent Thursday.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.73 percent, or 21.38 points to finish at 2,924.88.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.33 percent, or 160.20 points, to end at 11,887.02.
