The trade fair would last for two days in Xinfadi Agricultural Center in southern Beijing, also the largest agricultural wholesale market in Beijing.

Despite a good harvest, some sales channels were damaged because of the July 5 riot in Xinjiang and it has hit peasants' income, said Fang Aiqing, assistant to the Commerce Minister at the opening ceremony.

The trade fair has attracted 60 agricultural products suppliers from Xinjiang and about 100 wholesalers in Beijing and Tianjin municipalities and Hebei province.
