Beijing Urban Construction's net profit up 15.6%

Beijing Urban Construction Investment and Development Co Ltd announced Saturday it had made a net profit of 185.5 million yuan ($27.15 million) in the first half of the year, up 15.56 percent year-on-year.

Company revenue surged 69.39 percent to 895 million yuan in six months, boosted by the upbeat domestic property market performance, said the developer in its half-year report to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Total assets of the Beijing-based firm rose 10.9 percent year-on-year to 11.78 billion yuan by the end of June.

The Shanghai-listed firm's shares had fallen 2.13 percent to 18.83 yuan a share Friday before the release of the report.
