Chinese equities end four consecutive rising days to slide 1.13 percent on Tuesday, led by heavyweights.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on Shanghai bourse closed at 3,089.45 points, down 35.22 points, or 1.13 percent. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 12,362.44 points, down 127.48 points, or 1.02 percent.

Total turnover shrank to 284.06 billion yuan ($41.58 billion) from 303.16 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
