Top administrator denies joint air fare hike 

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) denied joint pricing by five major air carriers, the Beijing Times reported, citing an unnamed CAAC official.

Air fares rose in general on April 20, without any hearing, which has incurred complaints from the public and been questioned by the media.

The CAAC official said it would be impossible for the five airlines to gather for a discussion about raising fares due to fierce competition among them...
