Konka sets up 886m yuan LCD module plant

Konka Group Co, a major Chinese television maker, said it has poured 886 million yuan ($129.53 million) to build a liquid crystal display (LCD) module plant in Kunshan, Jiangsu province.

The plant, the largest one in China, will have a capacity of producing 7.2 million units of LCD module a year, the Shenzhen-listed company said.

The Kunshan plant will also include a TV assembly line, which has an annual capacity of 3.6 million units, the company said.
