Chinese students visit Saudi Aramco

A group of Chinese students visited Saudi Aramco's headquarters in Dhahran this week to learn about the company and its vital role as a reliable energy supplier to the world.

Students visit the Saudi Aramco Exhibit in Dhahran and get a glimpse of the origins of oil discovery in Saudi Arabia. The Exhibit provides visitors the opportunity to learn about the production of petroleum fuels and their uses in everyday life.

The 12 students from Dujiangyan Beijie Primary School Experiment Foreign Language School in Sichuan, Beijing Experiment Primary School and Beijing Shijia Alley Primary School are accompanied by two teachers and an official from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The weeklong trip is part of a student exchange program sponsored by Saudi Aramco and its affiliate company in Beijing, Saudi Petroleum Limited. Students from Saudi Arabia are expected to visit China in the future as part of the program.

A trip down memory lane as the students visit Saudi Aramco's famous landmark in Dhahran -- the 'Well of Prosperity' -- the first commercial oil field discovered in Saudi Arabia in 1938.

The Chinese students' first stop in Dhahran was the Saudi Aramco Exhibit, where they got a glimpse of the origins of oil discovery in the kingdom and the wide-ranging use of petroleum products in everyday life.

A trip down memory lane was next with a visit to the "Well of Prosperity" Number 7, the first commercial oil field discovered in Saudi Arabia in 1938, marking it as one of the highlights of their visit.

Students learn about the history and culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from their visit to the National Museum in King Abd al-Aziz Historical Center in Riyadh.

The students further learnt about the history and culture of Saudi Arabia with visits to the Heritage Gallery, the King Abdulaziz Center for Knowledge & Culture Department and SciTech before leaving for Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

While in Riyadh, they are scheduled to visit a traditional souk, or market, a local school and the King Abd al-Aziz Historical Center before departing for China.
