Shanghai Pudong Development Bank plans to raise about $1
billion from a share sale this year, the South China Morning Post reported
yesterday. The report cited bank Chairman Jin Yun, who told a shareholders'
meeting on Tuesday that the Shanghai-listed bank had not yet decided whether to
sell shares in the local or overseas market. Jin said Hong Kong and Frankfurt
were among the overseas markets under consideration.
