China's top court released seven notable administrative cases on Friday, underscoring its judicial commitment to further regulate the behavior of government departments and promote high-quality development.

The disclosure of the cases also aimed to reaffirm the need to equally protect legitimate interests of private businesses, marking the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the revised Administrative Procedure Law, according to the Supreme People's Court.

According to data provided by the top court, from May 2015 to June 2025, courts across the country concluded 2.83 million first-instance administrative cases. Among new cases in 2024, those arising from land requisition and demolition accounted for 26.1 percent, while cases related to administrative penalties made up 14.4 percent.

The top court revealed that the application rates for appeal and retrials of administrative cases remain high, urging courts nationwide to play a stronger role in addressing administrative issues while supervising government departments to ensure law enforcement is properly conducted.
