China, Thailand navies set for joint training in Guangdong

The navies of China and Thailand will conduct joint training near Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, from late March to early April, the Chinese Defense Ministry announced on Monday.
According to a ministry release, the training, which is conducted under mutual agreement between both countries, will primarily focus on urban counter-terrorism tactics, joint maritime strikes, and joint anti-submarine exercises.
It noted that this marks the sixth time the two countries' navies have conducted this series of joint training, which aims to deepen practical cooperation and enhance their joint maritime operational capabilities.
