Tang Renjian, minister of agriculture and rural affairs, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently under disciplinary review and investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, according to the websites of the two commissions on Saturday.
Tang, born in August 1962, previously served as deputy director of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs, deputy director of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Rural Work, and deputy head of the State Council Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development.
