China to implement consensus for healthy Sino-US economic and trade relations

The Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday that it would conscientiously implement the consensus reached between China and the United States, as well as strive to promote healthy bilateral economic and trade relations between the two countries.
President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden agreed to enhance dialogue and cooperation in various fields during a meeting on Wednesday in San Francisco, California.
He Yadong, spokesman of the ministry, said during a news conference in Beijing that China has repeatedly stated its willingness to develop healthy and stable Sino-US relation, and decoupling is not in line with the fundamental interests of both countries.
China will uphold the principle of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. The ministry will actively implement the consensus reached in the new round of Sino-US dialogue, and help inject more certainty into the practical cooperation between the two countries, He said.
