NANJING -- Forty-five foreign-funded industrial projects with a total investment of $11.7 billion have been inked in East China's Jiangsu province, one of the country's economic powerhouses.

During the International Cooperation Conference on Industrial Chain and Supply Chain and Taihu Entrepreneurs Forum, the projects, each worth more than $100 million, were signed across Jiangsu. They cover various fields, including biomedicine, new energy and intelligent manufacturing.

Thanks to its favorable business environment, Jiangsu has long been a popular destination for global investors. In 2022, the province newly approved 35 regional headquarters and functional institutions of transnational corporations, bringing the total to 366.

Some 41,000 foreign-funded enterprises have been established in Jiangsu, and 392 Fortune 500 enterprises have invested in the province.
