Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama and Chinese singer Liu Yuxin announced their collaboration as part of an art project launched by TME (Tencent Music Entertainment Group).

A new vinyl by Liu will be released with ten original songs as well as a charity song produced by TME. The Japanese artist will participate with his design combined with Liu's music.

Liu, 24, rose fame after winning the Chinese reality-TV show Youth with You Season 2 in early 2020 and became a member of girl group, THE9.

The crossover art project by TME is part of a series of initiatives that combine music and art.

Last year, the project unveiled a compilation, titled All Creation: Encounter with Animals, at the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in 798 Art Zone in Beijing. Artists from China, Spain and Japan created paintings which were adapted into eight songs by singer-songwriters, such as pop duo Good Meimei, Chen Li and Jiao Maiqi. The compilation was also supported by World Wide Fund for Nature, one of the world's largest and most respected independent organizations dedicated to the conservation of nature.
