The Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee has clearly reiterated that China is taking solid measures to fulfill its commitment to higher-level opening-up. As the world still faces uncertainties and challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, an open global market is needed to help global economic recovery. Therefore, the commitment of the Chinese government to deepen reform and opening-up across the board is very encouraging. We are very glad to see that China adheres to multilateralism and pursues co-development with the rest of the world in the spirit of openness and mutually beneficial cooperation.

China also attaches great importance to international cooperation on climate change, proactively engages in South-South cooperation and provides assistance and support within its means to other developing countries to tackle climate change. This fully demonstrates China's sense of responsibility as a major country and has led the way for other developing countries.

Vale will seize the new opportunities created by China's pursuit of higher-level opening-up to continuously expand our partnership with China in decarbonization in steelmaking with our world-class high-quality products and innovative technological solutions, and become the closest and most reliable strategic partner of China on its green, low-carbon and high-quality development path in its new development stage.
