Woman, 80, gets cake to mark robotic surgery success

Before getting discharged from Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in Wuhan, Hubei province after being cured of lung cancer, an 87-year-old woman surnamed Liu was surprised to receive a special birthday cake.
"The cake decorated with the number 100 is to celebrate my 100th surgery with the help of the Da Vinci surgical robot, as well as to express our best wishes to Liu for a long and healthy life," said Hu Weidong, deputy director of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery department at the hospital.
In late November, Liu was found to have a vaguely defined nodule in her left lung during a physical examination and she went to seek treatment in the hospital.
