The ongoing CIIE is an ideal platform for companies to network in China.

Over the past few months, preparations of the third CIIE, from planning to exhibition organizing, have been progressing steadily and smoothly despite the outbreak of COVID-19. The CIIE Bureau, an organizer of the annual gathering, innovated its working model and arranged a great number of pre-expo events to better serve global participants and visitors. The following are some significant initiatives:

The CIIE Bureau released the first list of exhibitors who signed up for the third CIIE to domestic buyers on March 12, more than one month earlier than in 2018 and 2019. The innovative model, which allows early access to exhibitor information, provides buyers and sellers with more communication and negotiation time.

Online sign-up service has been provided to businesses since February.

During a time struck by the pandemic, the CIIE Bureau unveiled the theme of the 200-day countdown to the third CIIE - Together, Stronger, Prosper.

A shopping carnival was organized by the CIIE Bureau in June to spark the passion for consumption. A slew of entertaining activities were held. Goods from 50 international exhibitors were sold at a weekend bazaar from June 6 to 7 and June 13 to 14.

A warmup high-level dialogue for the Hongqiao International Economic Forum of the third CIIE was held at the National Convention Center (Shanghai) on June 10. The dialogue focused on the theme of stabilizing global industrial and supply chain as well as the future of economic globalization, helping shore up the confidence in global economy after the outbreak of novel coronavirus.

A series of pre-expo matchmaking sessions and roadshows were held around China in July.

The CIIE Bureau hosted the first symposium for representatives of exhibitors attending the third event in September. The symposium was an open platform where business representatives could share insights into helping stabilize foreign trade and investment.

Dozens of companies have pre-booked to attend the expo for three consecutive years.

The CIIE Bureau partnered with the China Eastern Airlines and the China Southern Airlines to launch aircraft decorated with the CIIE elements to further promote CIIE spirit.
