Art trade fair kicks off in Shanghai

The second Shanghai International Artwork Trade Month (SIATM) kicked off at the new Art Tower on West Bund in Shanghai's Xuhui district on Oct 16.
More than 100 art fairs and other trading events have been scheduled to take place during the month.
The seventh instalment of the West Bund Art & Design, which will take place from Nov 11 to 15, will receive more than 100 galleries and institutions from 17 countries.
More than 50 auctions will take place during the month, and more than 50 galleries will present new exhibitions all over the city.
The SIATM was launched in 2019 to help with Shanghai's development into a global center for art trade and cultural industries, said Bao Bingzhang, party secretary of the Xuhui district.
