The Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport unveiled the results of its review of the bike-sharing industry for the first quarter this year on Wednesday.

A number of bike-sharing companies had problems. For example, Ofo was criticized for its data transmission interruption, and the commission ordered it to make corrections.

Helloglobal put many more bikes on the streets than it reported to the commission. The authority is investigating further.

The bike-sharing platform owned by Didi Chuxing was reported to have fabricated data on the number of bikes on the streets. That case is also under investigation.

"Transport authorities will strengthen the management on bike-sharing companies as the busy season for cycling approaches, in a bid to ensure a safe and green environment," the commission said in a statement.

It also reminded the public park bikes in an orderly way after using them.
