ZHENGZHOU - Central China's Henan province on Friday said its gross domestic product (GDP) exceeded 5 trillion yuan ($723 billion) in 2019, up over 7 percent year-on-year, citing preliminary estimates.

Its GDP growth target this year was set at 7 percent, said Yin Hong, acting governor of Henan, while delivering the government work report at the opening meeting of the ongoing annual session of the provincial people's congress.

Total fiscal revenue of the province surpassed 600 billion yuan last year, and the per capita disposable income for Henan residents grew about 8.6 percent year-on-year, Yin said.
