Winter Palace joins hands with Beijing Hermitage Art Foundation

Cooperation and exchange between the Winter Palace and the Forbidden City will also be a focus in this cooperation. By exhibiting large-scale activities such as cultural exchange exhibitions and museum cultural forums, the people of the two nations can experience exotic cultures without traveling abroad.

In terms of social publicity promotion, the cooperation will hold poverty alleviation projects such as presenting 100 art exhibitions to undeveloped areas, popularizing art education to children in less developed areas, helping them develop aesthetic awareness, supporting schools and helping teachers and students realize their artistic dreams.

Hong Yingli, founder of the Hermitage Art Foundation, said in the speech at the forum that the cooperation is the first attempt of the Winter Palace to enter China and will become a bridge for Sino-Russian national cultural exchanges. The foundation will stick to its mission and social responsibility and let the art collections of the Hermitage Museum approach the Chinese people, opening a new scene for cultural and artistic exchanges between the two countries.
