Chinese handicrafts under the spotlight in Copenhagen

More than 60 handicrafts which showcase the intangible cultural heritage from various regions of China are on display at the " The Wind Comes from the Sea" exhibition in the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen. [Photos provided to chinadaily.com.con]

Since last year, the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts has held a series of exhibitions under the same theme to showcase plastic art, design art, experimental art and traditional handicrafts in cities like Cairo, Brussels and Berlin.

"It's critical for the school to have an international and open mindset and we will stay committed to this belief," said Feng Yuan, principal of the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts.
