Themed "Belt and Road, Shared Future," the sixth session of Vision China, a series of talks hosted by China Daily, will be held at Beijing Language and Culture University in Beijing on April 27.

The event coincides with the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to be held in Beijing on April 25 - 27. With the theme of "Belt and Road Cooperation, Shaping a Brighter Shared Future," the second BRF aims to bring about high-quality cooperation under the BRI framework.

At Vision China, four Belt and Road experts, including Zhao Baige, chairwoman of the Advisory Committee of the Belt and Road Initiative International Think Tank at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Ivona Ladjevac, head of the center for the Belt and Road Initiative at the Institute of International Politics and Economics in Serbia, will share their perspectives on the BRI six years after it was proposed by President Xi Jinping in 2013.

Zhao and Ladjevac will be joined by Hannah Ryder, CEO of Development Reimagined and former head of the Policy and Partnerships, the United Nations Development Programme, and Andreas Pierotic, trade commissioner of Embassy of Chile in China. The four will also take questions after delivering their speeches.

China Daily's Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Zhou Shuchun will open the event, along with other distinguished guests including Weng Jieming, vice-chairman of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, on April 27.

Vision China events have been previously held in Beijing, Hangzhou, Johannesburg and London. The events have been broadcast live on internet and multimedia platforms, reaching an international audience, particularly young people.

This upcoming event will also be broadcast live on the China Daily website and app, as well as China Daily's account on Sina Weibo, Tencent Video, Toutiao, Bilibili, Facebook and Twitter platforms.

The Belt and Road Initiative aims to build the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and deliver policies, infrastructure, trade, financial and people-to-people connectivity via a new platform for a brighter future.
