Circus festival hits the streets of Brussels
This year, the 13th Hopla! circus festival invited companies from different countries such as Belgium, France and Spain, providing about 18 indoor and outdoor circus performances for the public, over a week of entertainment.
Aimed at building bridges between the circus and the city, and the arts and the public, performances are expected to travel around to different venues in the city. All people were welcome to the show. "People who speak different languages can see the show together," Resimont said.
The first day's circus reached its climax when two acrobats climbed to the top of the building, winning a round of applause. An interactive section followed, inviting the audience to experience the circus by twisting around a bench without touching the ground.
