BEIJING - Porsche will recall more than 500 vehicles sold in the Chinese market due to possible safety hazards.

Starting April 8, Porsche's China sales company will recall 505 Panamera models manufactured between Aug 17 and Sept 26, 2018, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).

Improper welding inside the gateway control units of these cars could lead to communication breakoff and affect vehicle control, according to the SAMR.

Porsche will replace the gateway control units of the recalled cars for free.

Earlier this week, the company began to recall 223 imported 718 and 911 models in the country over defects with the nuts that fasten the side airbag sensors.
