More than 40,000 off-road vehicles and almost 120,000 people from China and around the world gathered at a desert-covered stretch of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region this week for the 13th annual FB-Life Alxa Hero Festival, which concluded on Friday.
The event, which began Tuesday, overlaps with China's weeklong National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, giving off-road fans and other tourists time for an extended meeting.
Some 40,000 vehicles including Land Rovers, Jeeps and Toyotas rolled in for the yearly festival, which also staged a rock music show and flying performances by powered gliders.
