Mahathir spoke highly of China's accomplishments in scientific and technological innovation, and the application of innovations in traditional industries, including agriculture, trade and investment.

He also heaped praise on DJI's achievements in innovation and DJI drones in agricultural use.

Calling himself a fan of drones, the Malaysian leader revealed he used to operate drones in Malaysia for aerial photography, and that he would pay close attention to the application of drones in agriculture.

Luo thanked Mahathir for the visit and presented him a drone model as a gift.

China's Ambassador to Malaysia Bai Tian, Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah and Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Salahuddin Ayub accompanied Mahathir on his tour of the DJI complex.

DJI, which was founded in 2006, has seen its products used widely across a variety of industries, including agriculture, construction, infrastructure, movie production, fire-fighting, wildlife protection and public safety and rescue operations.
