China bowed out of the tournament due to their unfavored goal difference against Nigeria as both sides snatched four points from three matches.

With an inferior goal difference, China were the more dangerous side into the duel. They almost opened the scoring in the 25th minute, but Shen Mengyu's powerful shot bounced off the crossbar. Eight minutes later, China's captain Wang Linlin was left unmarked to head on Zhao Yujie's cross, only to see it beyond the crossbar.
