Scholars, business leaders to explore US-China cooperative opportunities at Yale

NEW YORK - Hundreds of scholars, business leaders from both the United States and China will gather on Saturday at Yale University to explore cooperative opportunities between the two largest economies in the world.

2018 Yale US-China Forum, which is to be held at Yale School of Management on April 28, will discuss China's recent emphasis on global connectivity and "shared growth through collaboration" by probing key issues related to this year's theme, The China Accelerator for World Development.

With panels on macro economy, urbanization, healthcare, fintech, art and culture, and many other topics, speakers and audiences will together explore cooperative opportunities between the Untied States and China and foster ideas for coordinated development across China's economy, society, and culture.

The forum features renowned speakers from various industries and academia including Yuqiang Xiao, chairman of ICBC US Management Committee, Victor Wang, co-founder of Zhen Fund, Raymond Chang, managing director of NXT venture fund, and Chen Xu, president and CEO of Bank of China, USA.

Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, senior associate dean of Yale School of Management and Stephen Roach, senior fellow at Yale University's Jackson Institute of Global Affairs and Senior Lecturer at Yale's School of Management, and Zhang Weiwei, best-selling author of "The China Wave" and distinguished professor of international relations and director of the China Institute at Fudan University, and Victor Yuan, founder and chairman of Dataway Horizon, China's leading organization in data intelligence and public policy polling, will also be present at the event.

One of the other highlights for the forum is the art panel where several prestigious artists from China were invited.

The Yale US-China Forum is a conference at Yale University that seeks to initiate discussions on forward-looking issues in China. It is jointly hosted by Yale Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Yale(ACSSY), Yale School of Management Greater China Club (SOM GCC) and North America Chinese Cultural Foundation.
