Guidelines

一、大赛简介

Introduction

首届“美丽中国”手机摄影大赛在“2015中英文化交流年”的大背景下举行，将重点聚焦中英交流与互动，促进中英人民之间的友好交流与理解，并为推动中英友好双边关系，促进经贸、文化交流做出贡献。

As part of the 2015 China-UK Year of Cultural Exchange, the photo contest will focus on exchange and cooperation between China and the UK, fostering mutual understanding and interaction between the two peoples, expanding substantial cooperation in economics, trade and culture, and pushing forward Sino-UK bilateral friendly relations.

本次大赛以“美丽中国”命名，旨在通过全球手机摄影爱好者的参与，以国际大赛的形式，征集优秀手机摄影作品，从更丰富、更立体、更多元的角度，向国内外展示“美丽中国”的新形象，消弭偏见与成见，促进中外民间交流与沟通。

This contest, named as "Amazing China", aims to invite global smart phones users and photography enthusiasts, be they professional or amateur, to demonstrate a new image of "Amazing China" to the whole world via outstanding photographs. By showcasing multiple faces of China in depth and further promote productive international communication.

大赛于8月10日正式在北京启动，11月在英国收官，通过颁奖典礼、获奖作品巡展与画册英国出版发行、摄影作品义拍与部分善款向慈善机构捐赠等形式，与英国人民共享“美丽中国”的美好画面。

The contest begins in Beijing on August 10th and will come to an end in November. An awards ceremony, opening of the winning entries exhibition tours and the launch of the winning works' album will be held in London.

中国摄影家协会副主席王文澜（评委会主席）、英国皇家摄影协会CEO Michael Pritchard、中国著名财经作家吴晓波、全球四大拍卖行邦瀚斯亚洲主席Colin Sheaf、中国浙江吉利控股集团有限公司公关总监杨学良构成了本次大赛权威、专业的评审阵容。

Wang Wenlan (王文澜): President of the judging panel, as a veteran photo journalist of China Daily, Mr. Wang Wenlan also serves as the vice president of Chinese Photographers Association.

五、大赛单元设置

Categories

（一）竞赛单元

Competition Section

1、竞赛单元划分：人文（Human Interests）、风景 (Landscape)、建筑 (Architecture)、美食（Food）、家庭摄影（Family）、在路上（On the Road)。

* Category

The categories for entries are: (1) Human Interest, (2) Landscape, (3) Architecture, (4) Food, (5) Family, and (6) On the Road.

备注：

（1）除家庭摄影单元之外，其他所有单元为单幅作品参赛；家庭摄影单元参赛者必须是个“家庭二人组合”，为同一个家庭中的成员，各提交一张摄影作品，共2张作为组照参赛。两位拍摄者，必须各自出现在“队友”的照片中。比如，一个三口之家，母亲可以拍孩子单人肖像或孩子与父亲的合影，如果妈妈的队友是孩子，则孩子必须拍摄母亲或者母亲和父亲的合影照片。两张照片组合参赛。

（2）在路上：本单元旨在拍摄在路上与博瑞有关的一切美丽。

P.S.:

* One entry may be submitted for all categories except Family. For Family Section, two family members should provide one photo respectively and these two entries will be judged as a group. These two members should also respectively appear in the photo taken by the teammate. Take a nuclear family as an instance; if the mother and the child are a team, the mother can take a photo of her child or a photo of her husband and child together, while the child must take a photo of the mother or the parents.

* The category On the Road aims to take photos of all amazing moments with the Geely GC9 luxury sedan on the road.

2、价值倡导

* Value

（1）突出中国人、情、景及真、善、美与和谐；

Truth, Goodness, Beauty and Harmony of people, personality and landscape in China should be highlighted.

（2）突出新颖与创意；

Novelty and Creativity shall be underscored.

（3）在路上单元：“美丽，就在路上”；带上手机，和博瑞一起，记录你在路上遇见的美丽。本单元旨在拍摄在路上与博瑞有关的一切美丽。

（二）非竞赛单元

Non-competition Section

1、“众星拍中国”单元（中国荣誉摄影师慈善单元）

* Celebrities Photographing China (Charity Section 1: Chinese Honorary Photographers)

本次大赛将邀请各界知名人士作为大赛荣誉摄影师，每人将以“美丽中国”为主题，拍摄一幅作品，由组委会统一制作，作者签名后于网上义拍，收入捐赠给慈善机构。

截至目前，已确认参与的荣誉摄影师有著名金马奖摄影师曹郁、著名导演宁浩、台湾著名作家朱天衣、香港著名作家马家辉、央视主播郎永淳、凤凰卫视女主播许戈辉、著名演员李光洁与涂松岩、著名先锋诗人、作家韩东和于坚，以及网络剧《万万没想到》的编导“叫兽”易小星。

此外，大赛评委会主席王文澜、评委吴晓波也将助力这个单元，同时出任荣誉摄影师，奉献一幅手机摄影作品。

中英巡展时，荣誉摄影师作品与获奖作品一起展出，并收入《美丽中国》画册。

The contest will invite a wide range of celebrities as Honorary Photographers, each of whom will take a photo on the theme of "Amazing China". The committee will hold a charity auction of these works on the Internet with authors' signatures.

After the initiative of the Contest, the committee will invite more Honorary Photographers.

Moreover, Wang Wenlan (王文澜) , Chairman of judging committee, and Wu Xiaobo (吴晓波), one of the judges, will also respectively offer a mobile phone photo as Honored Photographers.

These works will be displayed together with winner photos in exhibition tours in both UK and China and will also be included in the Amazing China Album.

2、“贝茨勋爵徒步中国”单元（国际荣誉摄影师慈善单元）

由中国红十字会总会全程支持的英国上议院议员、内政部国务大臣、枢密院顾问官贝茨勋爵“为和平行走”——徒步中国活动，将与大赛结合。贝茨勋爵作为大赛“国际荣誉摄影师”，将在徒步过程中拍摄“美丽中国”主题手机摄影作品，签名慈善义拍，并收入画册和展览。

Lord Bates, the member of the UK House of Lords, Minister of State at the Home Office, the member of the Privy Council, is invited as the International Honored Photographers. Lord Bates' Walk for Peace-Walking through China, sponsored by the Red Cross Society of China, will be combined with the contest in the way that Lord Bates will take photos on the theme of Amazing China along his journey. These photos with his signatures will also be used for charity auction, album publication and exhibition tour.
